What’s surprising is just how many apps call home the moment your Mac starts up. You can adjust this behavior to suit your specific needs using the app’s preferences. Little Snitch’s default behavior is to show you Connection Alerts-messages letting you know apps are attempting to connect to the Internet-and to ask if you want that app to send out data from your Mac.
